Simon Hof artist

A perfect curve, without dint or sharp bend. A perfectly smooth surface. A perfect balance in colours and patterns of the glaze. This is what artist Simon Hof (1967, Germany) aspires at all times. No symmetry because a totally symmetrical form lacks tension.

During the creation something has to evolve that you wouldn´t quite expect. Where the material has chosen its own way. As in nature.
It is essential that the artwork looks organic, as if grown that way.

A world of quiet and inertness is what the art of Simon evokes. An ode to nature which lets us simply get in contact with ourself
